A Cult of One: How to Deprogram Yourself from Narcissistic Abuse by Richard Grannon
Author:Richard Grannon
Format: epub

To actually experience a degree of choice, excess, and pleasure we have never before known in human history is a kind of stress for us. And not a minor one! We feel guilty that weâre not enjoying ourselves enough. We feel ashamed that we canât just pleasure and pleasure and pleasure ourselves. We donât know what to do with the fact that it has become boringâthat weâve become numbâthat the pleasure weâre pursuing is no longer giving us the thrill that it used to. But we keep the pantomime going. After all, what else is there?
